COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The City of Columbia's Public Works Department said in a Facebook post, that crews are set to be back Saturday starting at 9:00 a.m. to continue to address lingering winter weather impacts on Columbia roads.

Public works said as of Friday, all roads are considered passable, which means at least one lane of a road is drivable, at speeds well below the posted speed limit.

Due to Saturday's frigid temperatures, continuous operations overnight were suspended. Public works said single digit temperatures work against any treatment on the roads.

On Saturday, a 24 person crew will focus on getting priority routes back to near normal conditions, while also addressing lingering snowpack and trouble spots.

Standby personnel are in place to address any concerns overnight, as many smaller Columbia roads continued to deal with lasting impacts.
