Winter weather is making its first push of the year into mid-Missouri on Monday and visibility is a concern.

The Missouri Department of Transportation says it’s important to remember road conditions are the most dangerous when temperatures hit 32 degrees.

When that happens, MoDOT says drivers should slow down and make sure there is plenty of room between them and the drivers around them.

It is also important to keep mirrors, windows and lights clean along with wearing a seat belt.

MoDOT adds keeping fuel tanks at least half full is a good idea when temperatures get colder.
