A second round of storms

FRIDAY: Today things will warm into the 70s ahead of our next round of storms set to impact us in the afternoon to early evening. This round too has the potential to bring some hail and damaging wind gusts to mid-Missouri. For the latest timing/details check out the Stormtrack Insider Blog.

TONIGHT: Storm coverage looks to be more widespread north of I-70 as the warm front wobbles back through the viewing area. The main concern is large hail again with these storms, but we cannot rule out an isolated tornado.

EXTENDED: Storms will be ongoing Saturday afternoon but there looks to be another break in the activity. That break doesn't appear to last long as a cold front will sweep through and fire more storms up. These too have the potential to become strong to severe, but this is dependent on what atmosphere we have left in place. It will be breezy one way or another even after the storms push through with some gusts up near 35 mph. Temperatures will cool down starting on Sunday.
