Bagnell Dam closure announced for Wednesday, Thursday

MILLER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

An additional closure of the Bagnell Dam (Business 54) in Miller County will occur later this week, according to a Monday press release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

The release states that the routine inspection that was scheduled for Monday and Tuesday was completed on Monday, and the bridge will be open all day Tuesday.

The additional closure will occur 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, according to the release. Lighting maintenance and survey work is planned by Ameren, the release states.

Message boards will be in place, in advance of the closure, to advise motorists to use an alternate route, the release says.
