JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Jefferson City road will be closed for the rest of this week and the next to allow for construction.

Cole County Public Works shared through a news release that it will close one lane of North Shamrock Road. The closure will allow for crews to work on the new entrance to the Railroad Spur Extension and Trans-Load Facility.

Flaggers and signs will be in place from 7 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon each day. Drivers are asked to avoid the area for the next couple of weeks.
