New road construction projects announced around mid-Missouri

Bridge and Culvert Work Will Temporarily Impact Traffic in Audrain County in the Upcoming Weeks

Weather permitting, MoDOT crews will be performing the following work in Audrain County. Please see the dates and locations below.

  • Audrain County Route C - Oct. 26-29, road will be closed at Goodwater Creek, located between Audrain County Route CC and Audrain County Route T, for bridge maintenance. The closure will be 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.
  • Audrain County Route FF - Oct. 27, road closed 300 feet east of Boone County Route Z for a culvert replacement. Work will be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each day.
  • Audrain County Route FF - Oct. 28, road closed 0.60 mile east of CRD 989 for a culvert replacement. Work will be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each day.
  • Audrain County Route FF - Oct. 29, road closed 300 feet west of CRD 967 for a culvert replacement. Work will be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each day.
  • Audrain County Route FF - Nov. 2, road closed 100 feet east of RD 967 for a culvert replacement. Work will be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each day.
  • Audrain County Route FF - Nov. 3, road closed 0.10 mile west of Audrain County Route M for a culvert replacement. Work will be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each day.
  • Audrain County Route FF - Nov. 4, road closed 0.30 mile east of CRD 935 for a culvert replacement. Work will be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each day.

Boone County work begins next Tuesday

Boone County Resource Management will start the El Chaparral Avenue culvert rehab project on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.

The project will last approximately five working days.

During construction, El Chaparral Avenue may be restricted to one lane between Sonora Drive and El Dorado Drive and the traveling public may experience short delays.

No parking will be allowed between Sonora Drive and El Dorado Drive, signs indicating “no parking” will be posted.

Road closures scheduled on Jackson Street, Oct. 26-28, and Sexton Road, Oct. 28-30

Beginning Monday, Oct. 26, at 7 a.m., Remsel Excavating, contractor for 612 Jackson St. and 715 Sexton Road, plans to install new utility services.

This will result in a complete road closure of Jackson Street between Business Loop 70 West and Mikel Street.

The work associated with the closure is scheduled to be completed on Wednesday, Oct. 28, weather permitting.

This closure will be immediately followed by the closure of Sexton Road between Business Loop 70 West and Mikel Street.

The work associated with this closure will be completed on Friday, Oct. 30, weather permitting.
