Two people hurt in separate incidents on the Lake of the Ozarks

Two people were hurt in separate incidents at the Lake of the Ozarks on Wednesday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the first person was seriously hurt while riding a 2014 Yamaha Wave Runner.
Troopers said Michael Cooper, 51, of Chicago, Illinois was driving the wave runner at 5 p.m. on the Main Channel around the 3-mile marker of the lake.
Cooper hit a large wake while on the wave runner causing him to hit the watercraft, according to the report. He was taken to Lake Regional Hospital by Ambulance with serious injuries.
Hours later, Brooke Boysen, 42, of Adel, Iowa was hurt after she was swimming near the 5.2-mile marker of the Osage Arm of the lake at 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday.
Troopers said Boysen voluntarily jumped from a 2022 Sea Ray as it was traveling eastbound. Boysen was hit by the boat and swam to the shore.
According to online arrest reports, the driver of the boat, Jeremy Boysen, 42 of Adel, Iowa was arrested for allegedly boating while intoxicated.
She was taken to Lake Regional Hospital with serious injuries. Troopers said she was not wearing a life jacket at the time of the crash.
