Crash on Missouri River bridge in Jefferson City caused from trailer unhooking from vehicle, police say

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A crash on Monday at the Missouri River Bridge on Highway 54 in Jefferson City was caused from a trailer that became unhooked from a flipped vehicle, according to a Jefferson City Police Department spokesman.

The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. Traffic stalled for more than an hour. Lanes are blocked as crews worked to remove the trailer.

Traffic flowed back to normal around 2:45 p.m. No injuries were reported, according to an email from JCPD Lt. Jason Payne.
