Traffic was backed up on Wednesday on Interstate 70 in Callaway County after a car hauler overturned, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A car hauler overturned on Interstate 70 on Wednesday afternoon near mile marker 153 in Callaway County, just east of the Kingdom City exit.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote on social media that multiple vehicles fell off the hauler after the crash occurred in the eastbound lanes. Vehicles landed on both sides of the road, according to the post.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation traveler map, delays are expected for the next two-and-a-half hours.

MSHP Troop F reported the crash at 1:28 p.m. Traffic was slowed to a crawl at 2:20 p.m. The road was fully reopened by 2:41 p.m.

MSHP Cpl. Kyle Green told ABC 17 News that no injuries were reported and three used cars were on the hauler.
