A crash on Interstate 70 on Friday morning that involved a semi-truck led to a multi-hour lane closure, according to information from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

According to the crash report, the crash occurred when Jacob Bernier, 33, of Moberly, slowed down his 2019 Ford F150 in order to make a right turn. A 2001 Freightliner – driven by Heu Ngo, 57, of Houston, Texas – then rear-ended the Ford, according to the report.

The report states that both drivers were wearing seatbelts and both vehicles were totaled. Ngo had moderate injuries and was brought to University Hospital by ambulance, the report states. A University Hospital spokesman told ABC 17 News in an email that Ngo was in fair condition at 6:31 p.m.
