74-year-old woman seriously injured in Cole County crash

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 74-year-old Jefferson City woman suffered serious injuries in a crash on Tuesday on Route C in Cole County at Rumsey Lane, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash occurred as a 2021 International HV507SFA truck – driven by Jacob Kemper, 20, of Jefferson City – tried to cross Route C from South Country Club Drive and hit a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country -- driven by Carol Seidel – that was heading westbound on Route C, according to the report.

Seidel suffered serious injuries and was brought to University Hospital by ambulance, the report states. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. The Chrysler was totaled and the truck had moderate damage, the report states.

Kemper had no reported injuries.
