Cole Camp man seriously injured in Morgan County crash

MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Cole Camp man was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries after a crash occurred Wednesday in Morgan County on Route C, east of Kelsay Road, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

According to the crash report, a 1996 GMC 1500 – driven by Jonathan Noegel, 56, of Stover -- was stopped in the eastbound lane of Route C waiting to a make a left turn when it was rear-ended by a 2014 Mazda 3 – driven by Carolyn Good, 23, of Castorland New York.

The back of the Mazda turned into the westbound lane and hit a 2021 GMC Yukon, driven by Sarah Hammond, 32, of Russellville, the report states.

Hammond and Good had no reported injuries, while Noegel had moderate injuries. Noegel’s passengers were also injured, with Steven Evans, 59, of Cole Camp, was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries. Noegel and Jackie Tackitt, 67, of Cole Camp – who had minor injuries – were brought to Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance, the report states.

All five people in the crash were wearing seatbelt, according to the report. The Mazda and GMC 1500 were totaled, while the GMC Yukon had moderate damage.
