The father of a woman who was killed in a September 2022 crash in Cooper County has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the driver.

Randall Hendricks filed the lawsuit on Thursday against Inocente Prisciliano-Miranda, of Sedalia, in the Cooper County Circuit Court. A summons was issued for Prisciliano-Miranda.

Belinda Hendricks was killed in a crash on Sept. 2, 2022, at the 94.4 mile-marker of eastbound I-70, west of Boonville, according to previous reporting. A Missouri State Highway Patrol report states Prisciliano-Miranda hit Belinda Hendricks while he was driving a 2010 Toyota Prius. She was 29. She was standing on Interstate 70 when she was hit, according to previous reporting.

The lawsuit claims Belinda Hendricks was walking across Interstate 70. The lawsuit accuses Prisciliano-Miranda of being negligent.
