62-year-old man seriously injured in Morgan County crash

MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 62-year-old man suffered serious injuries in a crash on Monday afternoon in Morgan County, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on Highway 50 about half a mile west of Route A, the report states. A 2006 Pontiac Torrent –driven by Ronald Lacy, 62, of Lake Ozark -- was heading eastbound on a snow-covered shoulder and skid, the report states. Lacy overcorrected and went over the centerline and into the path of a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro -- driven by Javier Olmedo, 21 of Sedalia – that was heading westbound, the report states.

The report states the front of the Chevrolet hit the side of the Pontiac, causing Lacy to be ejected. Lacy was brought to University Hospital by ambulance. The report states that he was not wearing a seatbelt.

Olmedo had no reported injuries and was wearing a seatbelt, the report states. The Chevrolet had moderate damage and the Pontiac was totaled.
