Woman seriously injured in Camden County crash

CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 46-year-old Fair Grove woman suffered serious injuries Wednesday in a single-vehicle crash in Camden County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash occurred when a 1999 Pontiac Sunfire – driven by Melissa Bowles -- was heading northbound on Lowell Williams Road, south of Charlie Creek Road, the report states.

The Pontiac crossed over the centerline and Bowles overcorrected, the report states. The vehicle then went off the right side of the road, hit a utility pole, overturned and Bowles was ejected.

Bowles was not wearing a seatbelt, the report states. She was flown to University Hospital. The Pontiac was totaled, the report states.
