Texas man suffers serious injuries in Phelps County crash

ROLLA, Mo. (KMIZ)

An Irving, Texas, man suffered serious injuries in a Thursday crash on Interstate 44 at mile marker 189 in Rolla, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash occurred when a 2003 Toyota Sienna -- Manuel Escamilla-Cardenas, 50 – was heading eastbound when it went off the right side of the road, hit a concrete barrier and overturned several times, the report states.

Escamilla-Cardenas was seriously injured in the crash and was brought to Phelps Health Hospital, the report states. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
