Two suffer serious injuries in Camden County crash

CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two people suffered serious injuries in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday in Camden County on Highway 5 at Spencer Creek Road, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

According to the report, the crash occurred as a 2015 Chevrolet Impala – driven by Meldoy Yeary, 68, of Pontiac, Illinois –was heading northbound on Highway 5 and crossed the centerline. The Chevy hit a 2015 Ford Escape – driven by Aaron Tadlock, of Chillicothe, Illinois -- head on, causing the Ford to travel off the east side of the road.

The Chevy then continued north in the southbound lane and hit a 2019 Lincoln MKC – driven by James Baldwin, 65, of Davenport, Iowa.  

Tadlock was flown to University Hospital in Columbia, while Yeary was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, according to the report.

All three drivers were wearing seatbelts. The report states the Chevy and the Ford were totaled, while the Lincoln had extensive damage.
