Teen killed Sunday after crash on I-44 in Pulaski County

PULASKI COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Fair Grove, Missouri teenager is dead after a crash early Sunday morning in Pulaski County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 2:05 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 44 near mile marker 151.6.

Troopers said a pickup truck driven by the 17-year-old teen crashed into the back of a box truck. The Pulaski County coroner pronounced the teen dead just before 2:40 a.m.

The driver of the box truck wasn't hurt in the crash. According to the highway patrol, both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Troop I reports the deadly crash is the first in December. Troopers in that region have worked 33 deadly crashes this year.
