Jefferson City police report medical episode leads to crash

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

After a Highway 54 exit ramp crash, a man was injured after Jefferson City police said he had a medical episode.

Police say Gary Griffin was driving a 2016 Honda Pilot when he crashed into a guardrail after a medical episode where Griffin lost consciousness.

Officials say traffic was restricted in the area for a short period of time while the vehicle was removed.

Griffin was taken by ambulance to a local hospital to be examined. Police report he had minor injuries.
