Vienna man killed in early morning wreck

MARIES COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Troopers say a Vienna man was killed in a single-vehicle wreck north of Vichy early Monday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report said 52-year-old Gregory Meldock died in the rollover crash.

Medlock was driving a 1997 Ford truck north on Highway 63 near Vichy around 1:20 a.m., the report said.

Troopers said Medlock drove off the right side of the road and hit a rock bluff. The truck rolled over on its left side after the incident.

An ambulance took Meldock to Phelps Health Hospital after the crash. According to the report, he was confirmed dead at 2:58 a.m.

The patrol said Medlock was not wearing a seatbelt. No others were hurt in the wreck.
