Jefferson City highway ramp reopens early

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Work that closed a busy highway ramp in north Jefferson City wrapped up about a week early Thursday.

The Missouri Department of Transportation said that the ramp from Highway 63 south to Highway 54 west near the Missouri River bridge had reopened. The ramp closed Aug. 17 for repairs to a bridge.

The closure was expected to last about two weeks, but instead, it only took one.

The work is part of a larger project to repair bridges along Highway 63 from Route B to Highway 54.
