According to officials at Amtrak, the Missouri River Runner train 313 was on its way from St. Louis to Kansas City. At around 5:55 p.m. Friday, a boulder hit the train, causing mechanical issues.

No one onboard the train was hurt.

The train was stopped in Morrison, Missouri. At 9:35 p.m. Friday, passengers on the train were taken back to their original stations or provided accommodations for travel.
