Car fire causes South Smith Hatchery Road to close briefly Tuesday morning

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Boone County Fire Protection District responded to a car fire on South Smith Hatchery Rd. just before 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, causing the road to close for a brief period of time.

A fire official at the scene told ABC 17 News crews that two Boone County fire crews responded to the fire and were able to put it out within five minutes.

The road was reopened around 6:40 a.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
