House fire on Route EE results in total loss

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Boone County Fire Protection District responded to a house fire in 12000 block on Route EE early Friday morning.

Boone County Assistant Fire Chief Gale Blomenkamp tells ABC 17 News that no one was hurt after crews responded to a single family home with a large fire coming from the basement. Blomenkamp later said the home was a total loss and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Boone County fire crews were called to the scene just after 1:30 a.m. and arrived within 15 minutes to find the fire well advanced in the basement of the home. Boone County fire had 20 firefighters and eight fire trucks on scene.

ABC 17 News videographer on scene saw three Boone County ambulances, multiple Boone County Fire trucks and at least three fire marshal vehicles.
