Large police presence in west Columbia early Thursday morning

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A large police presence was seen in a west Columbia neighborhood early Thursday morning.

An ABC 17 News reporter arrived a scene on South Heather Lane at 4:30 a.m. and saw multiple Columbia Police Department vehicles along with Bearcat SWAT vehicle.

While on scene, ABC 17 crews were told to turn off all headlights on the news vehicles, police also had headlight and police lights turned off.

Crews saw two people coming out of a home on Heather Lane with there hand up and were detained. Another person was detained by CPD officers near the intersection of Heather Lane and Highland Drive.

The scene was clear just before 5 a.m.

ABC 17 News has reached out to CPD for more information.
