WHAT’S GOING AROUND: Doctors seeing cases of flu, respiratory virus and norovirus

Dr. Laura Morris with MU Health Care says they are seeing patients come in with various viruses.
Morris said doctors are seeing cases of the flu along with an influx of other respiratory viruses.
Morris said many sick patients do not have the flu or COVID-19 but are suffering from similar symptoms of congestion, cough, fever and sore throats.
Morris said COVID-19 infections are still occurring but are not surging.
Morris said people with respiratory symptoms should stay home until they are fever-free and cover their cough with a mask if they go out.
Boone Health
Boone Health reports seeing cases of a variety of viruses.
According to Boone Health, they are seeing cases of the norovirus, which causes nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
COVID-19 remains relevant but they are only seeing a few infections. Boone is seeing more patients with the flu and RSV.

The Jefferson City Medical Group Express Care Clinic in Fulton says doctors there are seeing an increase of patients with the flu, strep throat and a variety of viruses.
Doctors remind you if you are feeling sick to stay home and to wear a mask to prevent others from getting sick. They also say it is not too late to get your flu shot or COVID-19 vaccine.
