COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 20-year-old Columbia woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Hallsville Thursday evening.

The Boone Country Fire Protection District says they responded to the 14000 block on north Route U near Highway 124 at 8:16 p.m. where they helped two people from a vehicle.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crash report, the 2023 Kia Sportage, driven by the woman, traveled off the right side of the road and overturned into a ditch.

The woman was taken to University Hospital for treatment.

Route U was closed for about 45 minutes, BCFD said.

The woman was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, troopers reported.
