Texas man killed after being hit by a car in Audrain crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man from Texas was killed after he was hit by a car at around midnight Sunday in Audrain County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

According to the report, a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee - driven by a 27-year-old Vandalia man - was heading westbound on U.S. 54, .1 mile east of Audrain Road 964, when he hit a pedestrian who was walking westbound in the driving lane. The pedestrian, a 31-year-old man from Justin, Texas was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS.

The report states that the Jeep was totaled.
