Chesterfield man injured in Montgomery County crash Sunday night

A Chesterfield man was arrested after he was seriously injured in a crash in Montgomery County Sunday night.

According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Alexander Volkomirsky, 41, of Chesterfield was driving eastbound on I-70 when he traveled off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail at the 171-mile marker.

The vehicle overturned several times down an embankment and Volkomirsky was ejected, according to the report.

Volkomirsky was transported by Montgomery EMS to University Hospital. According to the report, Volkomirsky was not wearing a seatbelt.

According to online arrest records, Volkomirsky was also arrested for allegedly driving while revoked and careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash.
