Federal authorities moved Tuesday to change the classification of marijuana.

The change means the drug will be more available for research and other purposes. By changing marijuana's placement on the federal schedule of drugs, authorities are also recognizing the drug has some medical benefits.

However, abuse can still happen and marijuana can cause psychosis in some people.
