New Bloomfield man killed in UTV crash Tuesday morning

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A New Bloomfield man was killed in a UTV crash in Callaway County Tuesday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash happened at 9:15 a.m. when the UTV Charles Nichols, 81, was driving went off the left side of Private Drive at County Road 432 and overturned on its side.

Nichols was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Troopers.

The online crash reports says Nichols was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.

This is Troop F's first fatality for the month and year.
