Columbia City Council set to discuss new system for residents to report issues
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Columbia City Council is set to discuss a new system where citizens can share their concerns and input on issues at its pre-council meeting Monday evening.
The system is called SeeClickFix and is a 3-1-1 system.
SeeClickFix is an app that would allow residents to report issues, identify repair needs, give feedback and ask questions.
SeeClickFix would increase public engagement, allow for detailed reports, provide a texting option and have a public-facing portal, according to materials provided to the city council.
The city says every year it processes over 70,000 customer requests.
The city is currently using the Tyler 311 system. According to the city, the Tyler 311 system has limited public-facing integration and has limited ways for citizens to track requests.
