Deputies find Laclede County man dead after he shoots at Camden County home multiple times

CAMDENTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Laclede County man killed himself after shooting at a Camdenton home Monday evening.

According to a Camden County Sheriff's Department release, deputies responded to 70 block of Bear Ridge Road Monday night about a man, Michael Horonzy, on foot from Laclede County to allegedly kill someone at the residence.

When deputies arrived, they told residents to leave for the night however no one left.

After speaking with residents, deputies searched for the suspect but could not find him.

Deputies then returned to the residence after it had been shot several times.

Residents told deputies that they were fine and denied medical treatment.

Deputies located Horonzy with a self-inflected gunshot wound near his residence in Laclede County.

Horonzy was pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital.
