A breezy end to the weekend; wet start to the week

SUNDAY: Another warm and sunny day is in store with sunny skies and highs in the upper 60's. It will be quite breezy with winds from the south gusting up to 30 mph. Due to the breezy and dry conditions, we will be under another Red Flag Warning (or potential fire hazard warning) meaning you should not do any burns outdoors due to potential uncontrollable spreading. This is in effect until 7 pm.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Clouds will roll in during the evening hours and rain will start as early as midnight. We will have widespread moderate rainfall across the entire viewing area throughout the night and into Monday morning.

EXTENDED: Monday will be a great day to have your umbrella handy. We will start off the day with widespread rain during the morning commute and lasting through noon. We will see a break in the rain when the cold front comes through but during the afternoon we have the potential to have some thunderstorms fire up on the backside of the cold front. As of right now, this line of thunderstorms does not look severe, however, it is something we will be watching closely. These thunderstorms could bring potential heavy downpours and thunder and lightning along with some gusty winds. After those thunderstorms, we will start to dry up heading into Tuesday. Tuesday will most likely end up dry with only slight chances for rain overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. Both of these days we could see some sunshine that will help us get back to the mid to low 60's. Another cold front will come through Thursday and knock us back down into the 50's and bring greater chances for rain lasting into the start of your weekend.
