Sedalia police: Teen accidentally shot, taken to hospital

SEDALIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A teenager is recovering after being accidentally shot in Sedalia, police say.

The Sedalia Police Department said in a news release Friday that the incident only involved teenagers and happened in the 2400 block of Third Street on Thursday night. The hospitalized teen was stable, according to the release.

Everyone involved is cooperating with the investigation, according to police. Police are working with juvenile authorities to determine whether there were "juvenile-related offenses."

Sedalia Police posted on their social media Thursday night about the shooting.
