Columbia utility crew expected to remain in Rolla until the end of the week

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A utility crew from the City of Columbia is expected to aid with the storm damage response in Rolla until the end of the week, according to an email from Utilities spokesman Matt Nestor.

Crews from several cities were sent to the Phelps County city after it was devastated by a tornado on March 14. Columbia’s crews left on March 16, according to a previous email from Nestor.

Nestor wrote that power is still out for around 1,000 of the City of Rolla’s utility customers. Outages for Ameren and electric cooperative customers have been resolved since the beginning of last week.
