Snakes saved as Osage Fire Protection puts out house fire

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. (KMIZ)

Osage Fire Protection District crews were dispatched early Friday to help the Brumley Fire Protection District with a house fire.

Crews encountered fire in one bedroom and in the attic space of the kitchen, but were able to contain the fire to those areas. Fire crews successfully rescued multiple snakes from the residence with no harm to the family pets.

The Osage Fire Protection district assured on its Facebook page that no firefighters were bitten in the process. No injuries were reported at all.

Smoke and heat damage were found throughout the house.
