Troopers investigating deadly crash in Morgan County

EDITOR'S NOTE: The type of vehicle and where the man was pronounced dead have been corrected.

MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F continues to investigate a deadly crash on a private road in Morgan County.

Jimmy Burrus, 51, from Eldon, was pronounced dead at Lake Regional Hospital, according to Troop F.

Burrus was driving a UTV on a private road near Seals Road in Morgan County when the crash happened. According to the crash report, the UTV overturned multiple times while going up a hill. Burrus's UTV hit several tree stumps and a tree before it came to a stop on the driver's side, according to the report.

Burrus was partially ejected from the UTV, according to the report. He was pronounced dead at the scene around 5 p.m. Saturday.

This is the second deadly crash Troop F has responded to this month and 11th this year.
