Versailles student found carrying one bullet

VERSAILLES, Mo. (KMIZ)

Morgan County R-2 School District said there was no threat of harm or gun found on campus Monday.

According to the district's Facebook page, a student allegedly claimed to have a gun and ammunition.

"We immediately involved our School Resource Officer and did a full investigation," the district wrote on Tuesday. "There was no threat of harm and no gun on campus, however the student was carrying a single bullet."

The district said it has taken disciplinary action and are sharing the statement to control false reports.
