Moberly man arrested after an assault involving a bat and shots fired
MOBERLY, Mo. (KMIZ)
Moberly Police arrested a man after he allegedly assaulted the victim with a bat and then fired two shots at the victim.
According to court records, Jacob Redifer, 22, went to a home on the 300 block of Collins Ave and was allegedly taking items from a vehicle.
When the homeowner attempted to stop the theft, Redifer allegedly hit the victim with a bat multiple times before the victim was able to take the bat away according to court records.
After the bat was taken away, the victim told police that Redifer went to his vehicle and took out a gun and fired two shots at the victim.
The victim told police that a residence on the block had video footage of the incident.
Redifer is charged with 1st-degree assault, armed criminal action, 2nd-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
Redifer's bond is set at $100,000.
