Missouri receives multiple F’s in American Lung Association State of Tobacco report

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The American Lung Association released its State of Tobacco Report recently, and Missouri received several “F” grades.

The ALA gave grades in multiple categories, including tobacco prevention and control program funding, smoke-free air, tobacco taxes, flavored tobacco products and access to cessation services.

Here’s how Missouri scored in each category:

  • Tobacco prevention and control program funding: F
  • Smoke-free air: F
  • Tobacco taxes: F
  • Flavored tobacco products: F
  • Access to cessation services: C
