Parson proposes pay raise for state employees in State of the State address
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Gov. Mike Parson's State of the State address on Wednesday included a proposal for an 8.7% cost-of-living pay increase for state employees.
According to state pay data, the average gross pay for full-time employees in 2021 was $45,021.85. For any worker who makes the average salary, the increase would be roughly $3,916.
