COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri Task Force 1 (MO-TF1) received deployment orders ahead of potential category 3 Hurricane Ida's possible landfall in Louisiana Sunday afternoon.

MO-TF1 will deploy to central Louisiana where they will stage until they receive their assignment based on needs.

The 80 personnel team comes from all across Missouri with a convoy of 11 vehicles including three tractor-trailers, four gooseneck trailers, two busses, one van, and one command vehicle. The equipment cache being deployed will have an enhanced water rescue package and consists of six boats, four search K9’s, equipment needed for large area search, heavy breaching and breaking equipment, and hazardous materials equipment.

The team is expected to depart the Boone County Fire Protection District Headquarters facilities at 3:30 p.m.
