QUESTION OF THE DAY: Should businesses be protected from coronavirus-related lawsuits?

The Missouri General Assembly is working on a bill this session to protect businesses from being targets of coronavirus-related lawsuits.

The Republicans who support the bill and Gov. Mike Parson contend the businesses need protection from frivolous lawsuits after trying to help out during the pandemic. But critics say such protection would take away a major way to hold businesses accountable for not protecting workers and the public.
