Advisory issued for Gasconade County missing man

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The sheriff's office is seeking help finding a missing Gasconade County man.

Manfred Stelzer, 79, was last seen at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday at the Bland Christian Church at 710 W. Highway 28, according to an Endangered Silver Advisory from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The advisory says Stelzer is a white man who is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He is bald with green eyes.

Stelzer has cognitive issues and recently had brain surgery, the advisory says. Stelzer was in a black 2012 Hyundai Accent with license plate BD7C0T that was last seen going westbound on Interstate 70 near Concordia a little before 5 a.m. Friday, the advisory says.

The vehicle was later seen in Kansas City, Kansas.

Anyone with information is asked to dial 911 or call the Gasconade County Sheriff's Department at 573-437-7770.
