Crash closes Jefferson City intersection during morning commute
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
Traffic had to be diverted around a busy Jefferson City intersection during the Tuesday morning commute, police say.
The crash at about 8:30 a.m. led to the intersection being closed for about 20 minutes and sent one person to a hospital with moderate injuries.
A Jefferson City Police Department release says the crash happened when Allen Herman, 87, of Jefferson City was turning onto Jefferson Street from Southwest Boulevard and drove into the path of a Nissan Pathfinder. The Nissan driver, Godfrey Shoki, 51, of Jefferson City suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
Herman wasn't injured, police say.
