JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A couple of roadwork projects that could impact traffic in Jefferson City were announced Friday in a pair of press releases from the Jefferson City Department of Public Works.

Workers will remove pavement markings at three crosswalk locations in the 1100 and 1200 block of Monroe Street, near Capital Region Medical Center. Work will take place 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday.

Also on Monday, a construction company along with Missouri American Water will be replacing a valve in the 1000 block of Ellis Boulevard, according to a second release sent. The eastbound lane will be closed just west of Notre Dame Street, according to the release. Work will start at 8 a.m. and should be completed by 5 p.m.

According to both releases, there will be cones, signage and flagmen to help keep traffic moving safely.
