Truman Boulevard overpass in Jefferson City reopens early

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Truman Boulevard overpass that goes over Highway 50 in Jefferson City is now open, according to a Friday press release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

The bridge closed on Oct. 9 for a bridge rehabilitation project and was expected to be closed for 10 days. The project included replacing the expansion joints, repairing the concrete and applying a protective coating, according to the press release.

MoDOT stated in the release that crews will close the Route D bridge over Highway 50 on Monday for a rehabilitation. It is expected to be closed through Monday, Oct. 23. Detour signs will be posted, according to the release.
