MoDOT to begin work on Highway 50 bridges in Cole County on Monday
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
Contractors working for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will begin the first phase of a project to improve three highly-traveled bridges along U.S. Route 50 near Jefferson City on Monday.
MoDOT contractors will begin work on the eastbound Route 50 bridge over the Osage River, beginning Monday with the bulk of the work will take place between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. One lane of the bridge will be closed while work takes place. The project is expected to be completed by late May.
The contractor will also includes rehabilitation of the westbound Route 50 bridge over the Osage River and the eastbound Route 50 bridge over the Moreau River. The total contract amount is $1,185,161.
Traffic delays are possible in the work zone.
