Jefferson City Police Department says missing teenage girl found safe

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

According to the Jefferson City police, the 15-year-old girl has been located safely.

The Jefferson City Police Department reports the 15-year-old girl had been missing since Saturday.

Police said the girl was last seen leaving her house in her mother's vehicle, which has been found in Columbia. Officers discovered that the vehicle was involved in two hit-and-run accidents in Columbia on Tuesday.

There is a 9mm pistol, a purse and a stereo missing from the vehicle, according to police.
